I think for the sake of how much a USB wire is, i would probably go buy a fresh one rather than dig into lovingly arranged and packed boxes

Congratu;ations! I’ve invested in portable computers. When I moved house my laptop and network srive were in my hand-luggage. At the moment I’m in a 2 star hotel in Falmouth with my lovely little laptop (Sony Viao TT) and crappy wireless dongle (T-Mobile). World at my fingertips….
